'Fan into a flame the gift that God gave you'; both St Paul to Timothy and Jesus to his disciples, remind us of the power of faith - a faith that is expressed in prayer (especially by joining others in celebrating the Mass), in service of others, in participation in, and sharing our gifts with, community and in witnessing to God's presence in the world. AND FINALLY...
October is the month of the Rosary; perhaps you would occasionally like to join in the community Rosary after daily Mass. The Rosary is a powerful way of reflecting on the life and ministry of Jesus. A very good introduction is 'Rosarium Virginis Mariae' by Pope John Paul II, who introduced the 'Mysteries of Light'. You can read it on-line at vatican.va or we can photocopy it for you at the Parish Office. Next Friday is the first Friday of the month, so there will be Stations of the Cross after morning Mass.
With every blessing,
Rev Eugene Curran CM
