In his Four Quartets, TS Eliot says “we had the experience but missed the meaning. And approach to the meaning restores the experience in a different form” Myriad events happen to us each day, but they only become experiences when we reflect on them and allow them to touch us - though some will only touch us superficially, others go right to the core of who we are. But each experience in its own way changes us and our understanding of ourselves and our world. In each of the readings this Sunday, people are asked to reflect on events - in history and their own lives - and allow them to become faith experiences. We are asked to reflect on the events of our faith history and the liturgy of the past weeks and months and allow them to become an experience of the Risen Christ in our lives. And, if we can find Him there, then we can find Him in all the events of our lives.

Portrait of St Vincent by a pupil of St Vincent's, Mill Hill - of whom we are very proud!

I am travelling to a Vincentian meeting in Poland this week; please keep it in your prayers. On Saturday, I am speaking in Birmingham at a Mass for the Vincentian Family . Please keep the whole Vincentian Family in your prayers at this time, as we seek to discern what God is asking of us in these times and how we can best respond to the needs of our sisters and brothers. With every blessing and good wish,
