Martha did all the serving to Jesus and at one point, she requested for help from her sister Mary. Mary was listening to Jesus at that time. Though there is blessing in service there is also virtue in being able to listen. The presence of Jesus between Mary and Martha is crucial which benefits both of them. The presence of God is already with us whether we are working or listening, we only need to be open to know that in all we do Jesus is with us.
