As we enter the last weeks of the Church's year, the readings focus more on 'the Four Last Things', as they used to be called: death, judgement, Heaven and Hell. As Christians, we have no reason to fear death, since Christ has conquered even death itself. Nor do we need to fear judgement, since we always have the offer and grace of reconciliation and repentance. But it is healthy, holy and wholesome to remind ourselves, just occasionally, that life, youth, energy and health do not last forever - but that which is most truly us, our soul and spirit, will live forever in God.

AND FINALLY... This Friday is Armistice Day and Sunday is Remembrance Sunday; it is good to remember those who died in defense of freedom but also all those who have lost their lives in war. May they rest in peace and rise in glory. With every blessing,
