We celebrate today the Solemnity of Christ the king also called Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ , king of the Universe. It is a magnification of the Feast of Ascension established by Pope Pius X1 in 1969. Jesus Christ was conferred sovereignty ,glory and kingship. All peoples, nations and languages became His servants. His sovereignty is eternal and his empire will never be destroyed. He is the Alpha and the Omega “ the beginning and the end” . As we worship Him on earth may we also become members of His kingdom in heaven. Amen
