Baptism

Through baptism one becomes a member of the local worshipping community. One of the first greetings in the celebration of the sacrament of baptism is:
‘The Christian community welcomes you with great joy and in its name, I claim you for Christ our Saviour.’
Arranging a Baptism

For your first child, it is necessary to attend two preparation sessions, usually held on a Thursday night every other month. For subsequent children, you only need to attend one session.
​
Baptisms take place on the first Sunday of the month at 3pm as part of a group celebration.

These will take place at 7:30pm in the Bethany Room at the Church. ​​​

Please Note:​
Once you have completed the registration form, simply attend the preparation sessions on your chosen dates. All information will be provided during the session, including booking your Baptism date.

There is a £50 fee for Baptisms at Sacred Heart Church, payable on the evening of the course by card on our machine, or via cash.
