Baptism
Through baptism one becomes a member of the local worshipping community. One of the first greetings in the celebration of the sacrament of baptism is:
‘The Christian community welcomes you with great joy and in its name, I claim you for Christ our Saviour.’
Arranging a Baptism
Contact the parish office to let them know you would like your child to be baptised.
For your first child, it is necessary to attend two preparation sessions, usually held on a Thursday night every other month, and to attend one session for subsequent children.
Baptisms usually take place on the first Sunday of the month.
